Diversity, Equity, Justice and Inclusion Statement

We envision the preservation and restoration of the historic Wallisch Homestead to its ideal potential as a fully sustainable cultural, recreational and educational gathering place which is a model of diversity, equity, justice and inclusion. As stewards of this unique property, we are also dedicated to protecting and conserving the land for future generations and as an example of environmental vitality and justice.

We aspire, and are committed, to advocate for all citizens of West Milford Township, as well as visitors, to have full access to all that the Homestead offers. We also foresee a significant contribution to our community's economic well-being by improving the visibility of what this region has to offer.

The Friends value and encourage your feedback. All are welcome to attend our monthly meetings and contribute your voice to our planning process. We are committed to enacting all federal and state requirements for people living with disabilities, and we have ongoing discussions on how best to serve our visitors. Our board and volunteers are trained in disability awareness and communication.
