The Friends of Wallisch Homestead is pleased to announce their 12th
Annual Wallisch Homestead Original Art (WHOA!) Show and Sale

at the barn at the Wallisch Homestead, 65 Lincoln Ave West Milford, NJ.
Saturday, May 16 from 10AM to 4PM
Sunday May 17 from 11AM to 3PM.

There will be a private Artist’s Reception on Friday May 15 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM Open only to Artists, their guests and FOWH members

We deeply appreciate the participation of the many artists and artisans who have supported our shows in the past and always welcome new applicants.

Official rules for 2026

For those interested in submitting their art:
This exhibition is open to all professional, amateur and student artists, photographers, and sculptors. Anyone interested in providing a Sculpture should contact the Friends of Wallisch for display parameters through their email address wallischhomestead@gmail.com. Subject matter must be in good taste, nonpolitical, appropriate for all ages and contain no advertising. If you have any questions about your entry’s appropriateness, please contact The Friends of Wallisch Homestead. The WHOA committee will ‎judge the acceptability of subject matter for presentation and ‎their determination will be final.

FEES (maximum of 3 entries per artist)
Adult Artists: $30 per artist
Artists under 19 years of age: $20 per artist

Registration Deadline: Monday May 1 st NO applications will be accepted or included in the program after May 1.

If an artist chooses to have their piece for sale, and it sells, a commission of 20% will be collected by the
Friends of Wallisch Homestead. If a winning piece sells the awarded plaque goes to buyer. Artist will receive a certificate.
Artwork that was submitted in a prior WHOA show will not be accepted.
Artwork is limited in size to a maximum of 3.5 feet wide and 6 feet tall. Please be mindful that we have limited space and wish to accommodate as many artists as possible.

‎Awards will be presented for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each of the following categories:
 Acrylic
 Drawing
 Oil
 Pastel
 Water color
 Mixed Media
 Sculpture
 Photography People
 Photography Place
 Photography Thing
 Artist age 12 and under
 Artist age 13 through 18
Note: Entrants under the age of 19 can elect to have an entry judged EITHER in student category OR in any of the specific media categories.

PLEASE CHECK YOUR ENTRY FORM WHEN SUBMITTING. THE CATEGORY YOU SELECT IS WHAT
THE PIECE WILL BE JUDGED AS. IF THE CATEGORY IS NOT IDENTIFIED THE PIECE WILL NOT BE
JUDGED AND MAY BE DISPLAYED IN AN INCORRECT CATEGORY AREA. TITLES CAN NOT BE
CHANGED OR SPELLING CORRECTED. AN UNTITLED PIECE CAN NOT HAVE TITLE ADDED AT DROP
OFF. PROOFREAD YOUR ENTRY FORMS!

A group of judges will select the winners in each category and ‎their determination will be final.
There will be a special 250 th Birthday theme for best piece depicting our Nation’s 250 th Birthday.
All entries must be securely mounted and wired for hanging. There will be a $10 wiring fee per entry if entries are not securely wired. FOWH reserves the right to reject artwork that appears too difficult to add wiring.
All entries must be labeled with the completed labels provided on the Friends of Wallisch Homestead website.
Receiving day for all entries will be Saturday May 9 th from 9 AM – 12 PM at the barn at the Wallisch Homestead 65 Lincoln Ave West Milford, NJ. If you cannot drop off on that day please make arrangements for someone else to drop off for you. FOWH cannot take artwork before or after that day.
Pick-up will be on last day of show, Sunday, May 17th from 3:15 PM to 4 PM. Entries may NOT be removed until the end of the show. If you cannot pick up your art, please make arrangements for someone else and please advise the FOWH Art Committee. FOWH is not responsible for Artwork not picked up.

All submissions will be handled with reasonable care. The Friends of Wallisch Homestead and any
volunteers shall not be responsible for damage, loss or theft. Submitting an entry in this exhibition implies agreement on the part of the photographer, artist, sculptor or film maker with all of the conditions outlined in this prospectus. Winning entries will be posted on the Friends of Wallisch Homestead website in non-reproducible form.
